Every year dog pounds and shelters are receiving more and more dogs that don't have homes. It is important to rescue because there are dogs all over the world who need homes and by adopting rather than shopping, you are giving them another chance at a happy and healthy life. Adopting a rescue is also a very fulfilling experience for both the owner and the dog. Typically, dogs in rescue did not have an easy life before they made it to the shelter which probably why some people choose not to adopt, however, this just means that these dogs need more love and affection than any dog. Being a bright light in a dog's life can be a life changing experience, espeacially when you are saving them from a bad situation.
